Sleep and Depression (SAD) Laboratory
About Us
The Sleep and Depression Lab is located in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and is directed by Dr. Colleen Carney. We research sleep disorders, such as insomnia, and the relationship between sleep and mood disorders – most notably, depression. In our clinical trials, we are currently investigating the treatment and maintenance of insomnia symptoms through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
Research Focus

Teen Sleep
In the SAD Lab, we are interested in investigating how to improve access to care for adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with poor sleep through the use of an app called DOZE.
