Navigating Multicultural Education in Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programs: Insights from the Global North

Project Overview
This collaborative project brings together Dr. Fiona Thomas (Toronto Metropolitan University, TMU) and Dr. Pankhuri Aggarwal (University of Cincinnati, UC) to examine how multicultural psychology is taught in clinical psychology graduate programs across the Global North.

The study centres the experiences of faculty of colour – voices that remain underrepresented in existing research – and aims to:

  • Map the key components of graduate courses on multicultural theories and culturally informed clinical practice.
  • Identify challenges faculty encounter when teaching these courses.
  • Create resources to support scholars engaged in multicultural clinical training.
