Graduate Student

Bailey J. Thompson

Hello! My name is Bailey, and I am a PhD student in the Psychological Science program. I am originally from Prince Edward Island, and completed my B.Sc. at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My research broadly focuses on adverse childhood experiences and stress, taking a neuropsychological perspective to understand how stress contributes to the development of physical and mental health disorders. I currently serve as the leader of the Response Inhibition working group within the Canadian Network for Research in Schizophrenia and Psychoses. Outside of school and research, I like playing games (both video and board), camping, doing puzzles and hanging out with my animals (Ruby, Rupert, and Honey).

Graduate Student

Julia Gervasio

I am a fourth-year PhD candidate with a focus on biological psychology. My doctoral research is exploring how alterations in autonomic nervous system function contribute to the pathogenesis of bulimia nervosa symptoms. I have expertise in systematic review and meta-analytic methods, which informs both my graduate work and collaborative projects. Alongside my PhD studies, I am a Research Associate at the MacDonald Franklin OSI Research Centre, investigating the use of personalized medicine for veterans. I can usually be found tackling a crossword with a cup of coffee.
