This ongoing study examines children’s while lie-telling behaviour in different contexts. Previously, we have looked at cultural differences and empathy in white lie-telling behaviour. Currently, we are recruiting 4- to 6-year-old children to participate in an in-person laboratory study, where children are put into three politeness situations to see if they respond with a white lie or the blunt truth.
