The IMPACT Lab located at Toronto Metropolitan University, and directed by Dr. Candice Monson. The IMPACT Lab is combined of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, senior undergraduate students and research assistants who benefit from a research environment that fosters our integrative research and training theme while supporting the collective pursuit of discovery, health and wellbeing.
Research Focus
Our lab is committed to developing clinically-relevant, original research, as well as the use of evidence-based knowledge translation strategies to disseminate our findings.
Research studies have demonstrated that Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a time-limited, evidence-based psychotherapy, can substantially improve PTSD symptoms.
Our team has developed an Internet-delivered, self-help intervention to improve PTSD, enhance relationships, and improve partners’ mental health.
